INVICTA 'S' Type - SOLD
- First registered in 1931
- Still retains its Original 1931 registration - GT 8915
- Chassis # S108
- Engine # 1266
- Gearbox # 4901
- Original Carbodies Tourer # 2616
76 Low Chassis 'S' Type Invicta's were built and only 31 of them were Carbodies Tourers.
S108 still retains all its Original Coachwork - body, wings etc.
S108 was advertised for sale in 'Motor Sport' in August 1953.
- J. Firgee of Northern Ireland owner from 1950's until 1973.
- A. E. Chamber from Canada owner from 1973 until 1988.
- Michael Hagg of Coys sold S108 to Mac Donald-Hall in 1988
The Present owner has had S108 since 1989 and has rebuilt its engine to include crankshaft, conrods, pistons, camshaft, cylinder block etc. Rear axle, new crown wheel and pinion, bearings etc.
Gearbox, new bearing, brakes new brake drums and in 2011 - 6 new wheels and tyres were fitted.
Also the radiator has been re-cored and a new fuel tank has been fitted. S108 is a very rare example of an Original Carbodies Tourer and has been kept in first class condtion and is on the road with tax and full MOT.
